    Looking for stackable pellet containers

It's a really nice facility. I think it would be awesome to go there when they have an event. It's just a showroom. But, for me, I could compare grills since I had never seen a Recteq in person.

    Looking for stackable pellet containers

I did end up getting three food quality 5 gallon buckets from Lowes. 40Lbs fits into two buckets. I'm not sure when my Rt700 will be here. Backordered.

    Looking for stackable pellet containers

I drove from Atlanta to Augusta, GA this week to visit the Recteq showroom and compare the 590 to the 700 side by side. Of course, I bought the bigger, more expensive one. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and it’s a really cool showroom and facility. They gave me a free cover and also 2 40lb...

New to Sous Vide via Christmas Present

I sous vide multiple times a week. I sv'd a prime rib for Christmas. I have many SV cookbooks, from Thomas Keller to Steve Cykla, but my favorite is " Modernist Cooking Sous Vide" by Jason Logsdon. He's scientific, thorough and his recipes are approachable, unlike Thomas Keller. The advantage of...

NEW MES 40- VERY UNIMPRESSED WITH BUILD QUALITY

Wow, I just got an e-mail back from Masterbuilt's Customer Service Department advising me to heed your guys advice and take the unit back to Sam's. Even seasoning it wasn't a problem. If only the people at the factory had the same sense of attention to detail. I'm very impressed with their...

NEW MES 40- VERY UNIMPRESSED WITH BUILD QUALITY

I checked the box carefully. Unit was shrink wrapped and all accessories were wrapped and seemed fine. Here is just one of the scratches and dents. Will this affect my smoking? Should I contact Masterbuilt?

NEW MES 40- VERY UNIMPRESSED WITH BUILD QUALITY

I checked the box carefully. The unit itself was shrink wrapped and all shelves and accessories were intact. This happened at the factory. Again, I'm not freaked out, just disappointed. It's not like this is the centerpiece of an elaborate kitchen remodel. Just surprised at the lack of quality...

NEW MES 40- VERY UNIMPRESSED WITH BUILD QUALITY

I just got back from Sam’s with my new MES 40. Unpacked and assembled. I don’t think there is one panel on this smoker that isn’t scratched or dented, including a deep scratch through my water pan and three or four on the door and back panel. I can’t recall buying another appliance that seemed...
