I use a flavor injector to inject the sauce (usually clarified butter and hot sauce) into the wing prior to smoking. I get the grill as hot as possible and put the wings onto it after removing from the smoker to crisp the skin.
I installed the retro kit. It wasn't the same size (height) as the original part so the heating element had to be bent to accommodate. MES customer support told me it wouldn't hurt the element.
Tried to install my retro kit today. It seems as nothing is easy. Hopefully they sent me the wrong part.
UPDATE: Contacted the customer support center and they assured me that bending the heating element would not hurt it. Installed the retro kit and it is seasoning now.
Emailed BMTechGuy and Masterbuilt several times and never received a response. It's difficult for me to call them with my work schedule. Do they expect me to take a day off to call their tech support? It's starting to get frustrating. Any other ideas?
I'm trying to get a retro kit. Emailed MBTechGuy and Masterbuilt a few times and haven't received a reply. It's extremely difficult to call them during the week with my work schedule. How do I go about getting a retro kit without taking a day off of work to call them?
I was looking for something different from all the sauces I tried so far. Got this recipe from a friend at work. This is his families favorite.

I made a double batch of this sauce and canned it. I usually do this twice per year. It's definitely worth checking out.

I made a large batch of Dutch's baked beans and added a pound or two of smoked pulled pork. I always make extra brisket, sausage, etc and freeze it in foodsaver sealed bags. Some of that ends up joining the bacon from the original recipe with the beans. People destroyed those beans. They are...
You don't need a window (that turns black with use) or an inside light. Check out the price difference ($159 at walmart). It's the same smoker without the window, light, and temp probe. You can get an external meat thermometer (Run the probe through the vent in the top of the smoker) for...
Hi Porkaholic - you can substitute just about any nut. I've even experimented with ground almonds and substituted 1/4 C of Amaretto for 1/4 C of the evaporated milk. It was outstanding.
The recipe is fast and extremely easy. I made this several times and people always ask for the recipe.
Took leftovers and sliced it like bread. put it on a griddle with some butter and browned both sides. Served with some left over brisket. outstanding meal.
Got this recipe from my sister-in-law a few years ago. It's fast and tastes wonderful. I make some whipped cream to go on top that's flavored with grade A amber maple syrup. The maple, pecans, and pumpkin really complement each other.
Upside down Pumpkin Pie

Found this recipe a few years ago. The Kahlua and Amaretto along with the pecans, walnuts, and almonds really make this unique. Hot out of the oven with a cold glass of milk is euphoric.
Grown up chocolate chip cookies
1 c softened unsalted butter (2 sticks)
3/4 c sugar

several recipes mention this creole seasoning. I found the recipe that makes 4 cups. I scaled it down to a reasonable amount. You can use it in the finishing sauce.
Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning
½ C salt
1 ½ t black pepper
2 t red pepper
1 t garlic powder
1 t chili powder
