Just bought a 40lb. bag of pitmaster choice pellets. picked them up in store. Met Todd, great guy running a growing business. Can't wait to try the chili spice pellets. Still not sure what to use them on.
Got 2 bacon wrapped pork tenderloins and some abt's stuffed with queso fresco and lil smokeys in the smoker. Followed by baked beans and beer brats on the grill. Happy and safe 4th to everyone!
For 50 bucks from menards, its not a bad little smoker. I'm going to add a couple of vents at the bottom for better air flow across the coals, and a better thermo. I figure it will work good for camping trips when I don't have acces to my big cookers. And I don't have to worry about it getting...
First smoke on a bolt together el cheapo bullet smoker. Tri tip roast seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Its a 3 pounder with a cook time of 4 hours so far. Taking it to about 143 or so. Definetly gotta make some mods to this lil smoker.
I also recommend the Smoke Vault 24. I've had mine for about 3 years and it does everything I want it to. I've had the thing loaded with meat and believe me it will hold a lot. I never have to worry about temp problems, once I find my target temp it just hums right along creating smokey goodness.
