Thanks all.Yes, it was a drawing, $10 a ticket.I wasn't going to enter it but right before I left, I decided to get a ticket. Gonna try to season it in a while if the rain will stop long enough. I have a 3 pack of baby backs thawing that I picked up at Sams a couple weeks ago.
I went to the Jack Daniels Championships yesterday & look what I had delivered to me today.
I can't believe I won it!! Any way, can any of you Lang owners out there tell me what I need to do to season it? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Anyone have suggestions on where I can look for temp gauges for my smoker.I just bought a Brinkmann SNP, starting to do the mods for it. I would like to get a couple with 3 or 4 inch stems. Thanks in advance.
I am very saddened to hear of Ron's passing. He gave me some good pointers & advice after I bought my MES. My thoughts & prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
RIP Ronp
Hey all, I am considering buying a Lang, but before I do, I would like to hear some real input from actual users of the Lang smokers. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I agree with ya Beer. If I try them at all , it will be after I grind em into powder, minus the seeds. That way I can control the amount. I WILL admit that I am scared of em. Have you seen any of the videos on youtube of people eatin em? If not, you gotta check em out. They are definately worth...
That could probably be arranged.Let me know if you want some of the seeds. I am going to cut em open , take the seeds out & dry the peppers for grinding.
I just pulled my first four Bhut's from the garden. My question is, what can a person do with them?I just grew them to see if anyone would try one. Quite frankly, I am scared to even try em. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here is a pic of them.
I just used a little evoo, sprinkled lightly with Jeff's rub. Left on smoker for a little over 2 hours, maybe just a bit much time. Like I said, this was my first time doing frog legs. I was thinking on marinating them in some Italian dressing for my next go around. I have a few other ideas...
My first attempt doing frog legs. Didn't take any pics of before & during, just after. Smoked @ 250f using pecan. I sampled 1 before the wife gets home. Tasted really good.
