Good burner for one pan, or electric FLAT skillet?

I have yet to make it into the attic.. But that induction electric stove thing sounds so easy, but they all sound like you might get one season out of them. Today I need to learn about selling taxable mutual funds, or why I shouldn't use average cost.. fun fun

Good burner for one pan, or electric FLAT skillet?

Hey folks.. Been a while, but last summer I realized I was burning allot of propane in my summit weber grill cooking solo. I'm inside now, frying steaks in a cast iron skillet on a electric stove.. But I want to move outside when it warms up and would like to buy either a one/two burner...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

My mom rip made me the best steaks on her stove top in a cast iron pan. One of these days my buddy from work will swing over and help me get the grill up on my deck, but embarrassed to say, I still haven't used the weber I rebuilt. There's just not enough time in a life time to do all the...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

Thanks everyone.. Question though. There's a small spot on the inside where it looks like the flame rusted it pretty badly because the burner holes were plugged. Should I just rub some fat on it to slow the corrosion?

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

Busy week with all the students moving into the dorms. I do maintenance. Today was slower considering I'm responsible for 1000 rooms, so my feet didn't hurt as much. So I took some Wenol polish to the SS top after work and chow at the dining hall. Brushed stainless is hard to get clean...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

Thanks Bill1. I had no idea the summit cost that much, so I just ran outside and wheeled it between my house and the neighbors since I have a corner lot. I need to ask my buddy to help me get it up on my deck so nobody gets any ideas. Good neighborhood though. I am proud, but the work took...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

Wow, what a long day. Finally got it back together after disassembling and cleaning everything. I used 1/8" brass npt plugs in the old cross over holes after tapping the burners. Nice and tight no gas leakage or flame there. Its tooling along at 475 with valves about half open. Im going to...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

Yeah, but when I look back on all my projects intended to save money, I was probably making like five bucks an hour, or less.. Plus I have a painful lump in the ring finger of my right hand this morning.. But they don't make um like they used to. What's different about the new silver B's?

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

I spent the afternoon cleaning it, and now I understand why many say buy a cheap grill and throw it away when it starts acting up. I might be half done. What I found, was that the burners look ok, and only the cross over tubes have fallen apart. So my plan is to find some threaded plugs to...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

I fired up the summit silver today. The valves seem fine, nice and smooth and the regulator and hose look ok. But the igniter doesn't work, but I don't have a problem lighting the burner with a cheap long reach butane lighter, which I light with a bic lighter.. lol. Or my map gas torch that...

He is a lap dog.. GF says he doesn't try this with anyone but me. Or maybe it's because I let him..

    Hey from Iowa!

Exactly. We had a buck pawing scraping in the front yard when the GF moved in. Oh, and I spelled the dogs name wrong. Its Buddha. The GF's daughter rescued him before the human society could get him. There's three generations of estrogen living out there now. You could say I rescued them...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

If I'm inside, I'm going to use a frying pan on the stove. That ninja grill is nice, but Id rather cook outside during warm weather. And I would need a stand, but everything I see like that has steel legs which will rust out eventually. Im the buy once, cry once type of person, so something...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

Thanks folks.. My summit silver flavorizer bars center piece is busted in four places. The burner flame cross over tubes are practically rusted in half, and that's all I know since I never fired it up. Way to big for one steak too. My son gave me a charcoal grill, but Ive never cooked with...

Need some advice. Grill, or what for beef steaks?

The folks over on the weber forum said my summit silver is a money pit. Maybe I only need a propane burner to heat a big cast iron frying outside for the summer..
