Yeppers....Jerry gave you some really good advice. It'll work whether you want to slice, chop, or pull them...just watch your temp and foil at the right time.

I agree with meateater....there are so many safeties buiklt into the tanks now, that the valve will trip and only allow a very low flow. Have to turn it on very slowly.
I use a crockpot for PP all the time...no complaints yet.
If you don't want to go with the chicken broth, you can always make a little finishing sauce to keep it nice and moist.
