Elm wood?
Another newbie question: Can you use elm as a base wood for burning? I've been told both ways. I have access to a large amount of elm wood but not sure if I should use it. Thanks in advance for tolerating those of us who are just at the beginning of this smoking addiction.- soonerrx

Thanks for the help. Looks like I've got my Saturday booked up, although I'm tempted to call in sick to work tomorrow to get a days jump on true smoking. After looking through all the forums, I can hardly wait to get started. My biggest problem will be deciding what to do first!!!- soonerrx

New Sooner smoker
A buddy of mine just gave me his Smokemaster. He was moving and didn't have room to take it with him. Anyway, I was trying to figure out the basics and came across this site....incredible. I have found the place for any information I'll ever need. It's great how all you guys (and ladies)... -
New to smoking
I recently acquired a Smokemaster horozontal smoker from a buddy who was moving and didn't have room to take it with him. It doesn't look like it has been used in a couple of years, maybe needs a little paint, but it looks like it is in pretty good shape. Any suggestions on cleaning it up and...- soonerrx
