Does the temp reading of the grill affect the smoke setting? My grill in the sunlight gets hotter than it does when the sun wasn't as hot in the earlier part of the year. I went directly to the P setting when I turned it on. The inside temp of the grill went to 240 degrees.- Double Kk

My Pitboss Austin XL sits in the sun. I set the grill on P2 right away. With the sun beating down on it the temp reading is 250. Does the grill have to get down to a certain temp before it will start the smoking process?- Double Kk
