Ever used Birch or Poplar?
Yeah, that's what I'm hearing. I don't intend to use them for smoking, but rather turning them into charcoal and using them as an ember base. Are they still toxic to use in that form? I'm curious about something, My area has lots of poplar and spruce. Do you think if I burnt them down to the embers and used them as a heat base it would still stink?- Smokin Grim
