    I have the insulating blanket on my Pro Series and have never taken it off. It's not in direct sunlight though. Never had a problem with flame outs. I live in South Texas and it gets plenty hot.

    Will Pitt Boss ever offer a PID controller ?

    Just get a Savannah Stoker and be happy. You will need to modify to mount vertical. Unit works great. How bad do you really need Bluetooth or Wifi?
