Update: decided to grind the liner out. It was a pain, but its done now. Orbital sand, wire brush, repeat. Ear plugs, earmuffs, mask, goggles. Interesting that you mention that thread, because it mentions that epoxy liners are totally safe to smoke in. Its one of the reasons im so indecisive about whether to use mine or not. Im looking into something like a paint thinner to take care of the liner, still doing research online- blackrock
