Jimmy if I have this trouble again are you saying it’s possible to put a fan at the door where you insert the chips. That would give it a draft and the wood chip may smoke ? If so I will try that next time
I was smoking sausage so I needed the lower temp. Not the first time Ive smoked sausage in this smoker. Last time I didn’t have any issues keeping the smoke rolling. At lower temperatures
It’s a Cajun injector 2 door smoker. Here my problem. First time I used worked perfect. Second time I used it towards the end of the cook time. It stoped smoking. Third time today turned it on added chips smoked it butt off added more chip stopped smoking.

Between my barrel stove and my smokehouse. I think it could reach 300 degrees. I think I’ve heard that galvanized heated was bad for you and if it transfer the smoke to your food that wouldn’t be good.

Thanks Dave. That’s exactly the info I needed. Now time to start getting material to build one. Just wasn’t sure it would get hot enough. Don’t plan on cold smoking.
