Glad you enjoyed the finishing sauce. It's also my very favorite one Soflquer used to be a very active member on this forum and had great posts. I really miss him. By the way, if you liked the finishing sauce, try his chili verde recipe. It's the best chili I have ever made. Oh yes, also try his...
I've bought lots of meat from BJ's and never been disappointed. However, I have to agree with an earlier poster. I also shop at Publix. Their meats are also excellent but they are more expensive. I don't mind paying a little more because the stores all seem to be very clean and generally have...
sawinredneck has it right. You are fortunate to have those selections. Just add a hickory alternative and you should be fixed for most any smoking job.
It's posts like this one that makes me so proud of the SMF. I've been a member here for a lot of years and have always been impressed with the way the more experienced smokers always step up to help those who need a little help. I really enjoy this forum. Great job guys!
Looks like it to me. I haven't tried that particular one but it certainly looks like it could be close. By the way, I looked in our forum under sauces and found a really great looking recipe for the SC mustard base sauce. Good luck!

Great post and thanks for the coding for determining age. Mine isn't that old but it does have a list due to the short leg. I also have a gas Weber that is just great. I continue to be impressed with all the Weber products I have had. Hope you continue to enjoy yours for another 35 years.
AJ,
Congrats on a great looking smoke. I also did a butt. I started it yesterday at 4:50 PM. It was 10.5 lbs and finished at 2:30 PM today. I smoked it at 230-240 deg. and it turned out great. I was a little surprised at the time in the smoker but the temp was what it was. We had our get...
Hey Tom!!
I think you're on to something. At least this should get us off to a good start. We can build on this. Anyone else? Thanks to everyone for your posts
Bill
Hey Dirt,
Thanks for the reply. I know that the parm cheese is a part of the formula. There was also a hot sauce and salt. Thanks again for the reply.

Greetings!
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I were in Covington, La and ate at a restaurant named "Acme Oyster House." We had a dish called char grilled Oysters and they were positively delicious. I asked the waitress how to prepare them but she said she if she told me, she would have to...
