Thanks, fellas......any input on the temperature spiking? Sometimes it just starts climbing and won't stop unless I adjust the temperature down.

What's the mailbox mod? Also, where do you put the a maze n? Can you use any pellets and how long does it smoke? Will it give you a smoke ring?

I've had this smoker for a month or so and like it. Have had a couple of issues with the temp spiking very high, occasionally. Typically when I'm doing a longer smoke. Anyone else have this issue? Also, does anyone not use the chip loader and just pull the chip tray and put in a bigger load...
