My first RF build. 80 gallon air tank.

Priced the steel for my FB today. Unfortunately the weather has all but halted my work so I threw some high temp paint on to help prevent rusting until work picks up and I have some extra cash.

Yeah I know. I wasn't going to but the more I looked at it the more crazy it made me. I realized after I posted that I posted the pic with the handle fixed. It was about 1/2" high on left.

    Starting a wood fire

I just switched to straight stick burner. Used charcoal for a while. It seems a little harder but I'm also using a COS right now. I do notice a difference in the meat. Not huge, but it's there.

$13 for the burner, $16 for the brass fittings. Best money I've spent.

My first RF build. 80 gallon air tank.

When I welded it I pinched the back together enough for it to pinch it. I really like the way the hinges look. They came with bolts but I bought a 1/2" rod as a guide and wound up liking the way it looked. The link for the hinges is below. http://www.katbbqsmokers.com/customparts/

Yeah, 10 years without welding really shows.

Hinges came in. Very pleased with them. Bending the cc door seals. Hopefully get to start welding tomorrow.
