I also cut out a adapter plate for the top of my fire box to atach my charcoal chute. My charcoal chute will be 5x5 at the top and 8x8 at the bottom. And finally I got my charcoal grate welded up out of 5/8 sucker rod.
Probably wont get much done next couple days hopefully friday i can get some...
Got some more work done today. I cut some slots on my fire box to keep charcoal from falling into my transfer tube and got my transfer tube cut and welded on. Little rusty with the torch its bes several years sense I have used one but its been fun working with this thick steel.
Got my fire box started turned the 5x4.5 in square tube into a 10x9 x6.25 in tall fire box its also 1/2 in thick just gotta straighten up the end. Build my 1/2 in sucker rod grate and atach my 5x5 transfer tube. Thats tomorrows goal.
