    Maybe an easy one fellas....

Thanks for the input. We ended up doing a trial run and the "snake" method of charcoal deployment/utilization.  Worked out quite well for the weekend of the hog roast too. I've got a whole hog post with q-view photos a posted here, if you wish to see the outcome. Thanks again! Dan

    Whole pig (with pics!)

Thanks folks! Was a serious undertaking, one that I'm planning on doing again next year.  Learning how to control the temp in this beast was the biggest part, and utilizing an inferred heat panel/grease trap made this piggy one of the best several people said that they have ever consumed...

Folks raised 4 hogs this year; he might joke about how difficult it was raising them, but I think dad really enjoyed...

    Whole hog

Alright folks. Need a bit of input/help after scrolling the forum for a bit. Doing a whole hog this weekend (Mr Pig is currently at the butchers for a scrape/dress). Live weight of pig was 165. Dressed I'm assuming will be 115. Cooker photos can be seen here: It's a converted 275 gallon...

    Maybe an easy one fellas....

Hey gents. Been smoking meat for about 5 years now. Mostly self taught through the forums here. Might have bitten off a bit more than I can chew at this point so seeking advice. Long story short, converting a fuel oil tank (250 gallon) to a hog roaster on a trailer. Build is about done, so...

    Out of the shadows

Morning Gals and Gents, First time poster, long time stalker.  The shadows have been fun but I felt it was time to formalize our relationship. Located in the Midwest, northeastern Indiana to be exact. Own and operate a Masterbuilt Electric and have a custom build going. The electric one was...
