Posted earlier about problems getting my amazin pellet to stay lit. Finally did the mailbox smoker mod..and it turned out GREAT. Just a few tips for Newbies ( gee I been at it for a month, did I graduate to Newbie +++?). First off, the key to keeping it lit is a matter of good airflow and ...
Thanks Bear....probably just the " rookie" in me having the problem with the AMNPS. Should be simple...it's Either air supply or something particular to the pellets. I would suspect it is air flow..they seem to light but go out. ....my "rookie" guess would be the starving for air approach...
Had an extra mailbox here....so going to try the mailbox attachment. Just wondered if the placement of the mailbox is critical to the smoke getting into the MES40? Does it have to be a certain distance below or even with the MES? Does it make a difference? Also....about the draft hole in the...

~~Any recommendations on which unit would work best for a newbie? Do you think the wood chip device with the MB40 does not produce enough smoke? Guide me along the barbeque highway....I don't really see a lot of places that sell sawdust, so wondered if one of the other units would be easier to...
