I've got one on a homemade offset horizontal that I built year's ago. Works great. I extended the center bolt and used a short stuff spring under the nut to hold tension on the outer disk.

Hi from SW Okla. Been smoking for years on a homemade smoker I made from 20" heavy wall pipe. Traveled a lot for work so I didn't get to cook as much as I wanted but fired it up every time I got home. Plan to do a lot more now that I'm semi-retired.
