I would have to say that pit boss pellets work best for me, the flavor and price are good. Was not happy with my pit boss smoker, but the pellets redeem them.
Did my first trimmed brisket today. Harvest was officially done last night so time to celebrate with some smoke!!!
Flavor was good , but wasn't as tender as I would like. Had it on the pellet for around 4 1/2 hrs and brought it to 175. Then foiled it to 185. Gave it another 30 min. Uncovered...
Have recently had some issues with my pit boss. The plate that the auger motor sits on was twisted and making some interesting sounds. And the board went at the same time. Have to give a big thanks to Susan at pit boss for the Tec support and very fast service on sending the new parts out...
The little i have used mine im liking it. I put it on smoke for a little while then bring it up to temp. The flavours have been very good. Not as good as using wood chunks and charcoal but alot less time and effort involved.
Ive only used my pit boss a few times and have noticed a learning curve for me. But that is part of the fun. Going to try some jerk wings on it for the game today.
Just got a pitboss pellet smoker. Havent had much good weather to use it much. Seems like when outside temp is below 50'f that i have to really crank it up to get to 225'f. Anyone have expierence with these?
