My Mailbox Mod Brings Down Temp in Smoker

I don’t know how far your mailbox is away from the smoker but the closer it’s to the smoker the less heat loss you’ll experience. My smoke generator is flush up to the smoker, nowhere to lose heat at. P.S. if you’re loosing heat outta the vent just close it. While the ampns needs air you could...

    Smoked turkey Over 12lbs

Excuse me, but when you say “Cured turkey” are you talking about brining the turkey? Inquiring minds need to know. Oops, just read brine as the next to the last word, sorry for my ignorance.

    Smoked turkey Over 12lbs

Just don’t make the same mistake I did, my brother, the turkey fryer of the clan, had already told me to get the smallest turkey I can find. So I did, but the stupid turkey was too big to fit through the dammed smoker’s door! Never made that mistake again. No Brag, Just Fact

How big of a turkey can I smoke

Get the smallest turkey you can find. If it’s not enough get 2....or more. LOL. I don’t recommend completely cooking turkey in the MES, it doesn’t get hot enough to cook the skin properly. Not that it’s unsafe but nobody enjoys wet leathery skin. I don’t know how long to leave it the MES but...

Chopsaw, yes and no l did ask about copying your setup (MES on cart with mailbox on botton shelf) . The 24/7 question was for someone else. I just figured since your cart had front wheels you just rolled it in and out og your garage or shed.:sausage:

MES Mailbox Mod! for use with AMNPS

I like your set up very much, is it safe to assume you keep your MES outdoors 24/7. If so how do you protected your MESThumbs Up from the elements? :sausage:
