Thank you for all the support! It's going to be a good experience. My wife and I talked about it for a while and decided that after the cancer crap, that there is not point in being miserable in my job. It helps to have an awesome wife with a good job for support.
I'm on my second F-150 XLT with the 2.7. I had a 2017, but an Audi TTS decided to pull out in front of me and after 3 and a half month battle they totaled it. Loved that truck. I used the money from that to put down on a 2022 last month. Now I love this truck. I haven't towed with this one yet...
He wants me too put my mark on the menu. It will be fun developing along the way. Radiation is a mother! I don't know what you've got going on, but I had throat cancer. Radiation to the throat is a bitch! Surgery sucks too. Physically I'm great, but the side effects are still hanging around a...
After just shy of 34 years at my current employer I'm headed to work in a kitchen! Fed up with the corporate world I'm starting over. I will be working the kitchen for a local caterer. I graduated a local culinary program the day before I started my cancer journey almost two years ago. Things...
I bought a bottle of Benchmark a while back because I just wanted a cheap whiskey to make into apple pie. I actually enjoy it more that most of the more expensive bottles I've bought. At 9 bucks I had no idea it had famous relatives!
I've got an off brand unit I picked up on prime day for 24 bucks. I just use a stockpot. I do have a screw on bracket that holds it on to the edge of a container that the unit just slides through, so could be used through a lid I suppose. I love mine, no issues. CPCOK is the brand, I've done...
I'm on a bit of an Irish kick lately. I like the Proper 12 at the moment. I got ripped a bit by Facebook friends for very much liking the Jameson Orange. I am prepared to be ripped for liking Kurveball BBQ whiskey. It's pretty cheap, but makes a killer Old fashioned with brow sugar simple syrup...
I had a 2017 with the 2.7, and now a 2022 with the 2.7, no issues. I don't tow anything huge, my boat is a '93 Tracker with a 90 on it, so well under limit. Don't even know its there. Both are/were XLTs, so not overly decked out, but more than I need.
When I don't feel like firing up the grill, I'll throw them in a cast iron with a little water and oil. the water will steam them until it evaporates, and then the oil will brown them up nicely.
17 below. I ended up building an enclosure for my little cabinet smoker to try to keep some heat in it. Smoked in colder than that, but not while building a makeshift brick wall.
As a kid I remember being taken to Dottie West at the Pillager Fairgrounds in the 70's. First without parents was Weird Al doing a pop up concert at the state fair ground in the early 80's. First I paid for for was Power Mad, Coup De gras, and Blind Approach at 7th street entry in Mpls. My uncle...
Had a buddy in high school that used to carry loose ones in his front pocket. One night he was digging something out of his pocket and managed to light them off. Nasty burns on his fingers, hand, and inner thigh! I don't believe he carried them there after that.
