    Why not go for the offset?  Yoder  Witchita is a great smoker, I like watching the wood burn never had an interest in pellets. The Cheyenne in your budget and is traditional.

    Just wanted to say hello to everyone from Piermont NY.  I am fairly new to smoking around 3yrs.  started on a cheap Home depot special that I used into the ground then traded up to a 600 lb Yoder Loaded Witchita which is great. I like to smoke Salmon, Pork shoulder.  I like memphis style rubs...
