Moving from electric smoker to Big Green Egg

Hello, everyone. The title pretty much says it all. All my smoking experience (about 3-4 years) has been with an electric smoker and the AMPS. I have had a lot of success with it but my latest grill finally rusted out on me and I am leaning heavily toward the Big Green Egg. I know it is a...

    AMNPS leftovers

I've done a few smokes now using the AMNPS (with the MES 30) and sometimes I have leftover pellets, like maybe half a row or so.  Is it ok to put them back and reuse them at a later date?  Or should I just throw them away?  I hate to waste them if I am able to reuse them.  Thanks.

    MES 30 and AMNPS problem

Smoking first Boston Butt, need some advice

I am planning on attempting my first smoke this weekend. I have a Masterbuilt 30 electric smoker and I'm using the Amaze-N-pellet smoker. The meat is about 7-7.5 lbs Boston Butt. I have read some conflicting information on how I should do this. Here are my questions: 1) Should I put the...

    Hello from NE Ohio

Just wanted to say "Hi" from NE Ohio.  Just got my first smoker a few months ago but haven't been able to use it yet due to the extremely cold weather we have been having here.  I have a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker and I am a total rookie.   I am interested in smoking brisket and pulled...
