seasoning the ok joe highland and I'm like Whoa ????!!!!
Ok I know flames are cool but this is not even 30-45 mins into first time lighting it up and there is a nice wave on my side box. Wth ?- chavr904

got my horizon convection plate today for my ok joe highland
So I'm new to all this and learning. Is there suppose to be a gap from plate to side where cooking chamber and firebox meet. Looks like it's the bolts that attach the side box are causing the gap. Should I shove foil in thete ? Or how to fix or do I have to drill to attach ...- chavr904

framed cooking grates
Just bought my ok joe highland and looking to put the I think it's expanded metal grates on. I've searched a few threads but I'm hoping to get some specifics on what's needed to buy to build it. The material is what I'm looking for. I hope to have two grates but what size square tube / or angle...- chavr904

newbie going try to tackle smoking
I used propane most of my bbq time I bought a brinkman duo propane/charcoal liked it Alot. Did a few smoking liked it went out and bought a ok joe highland just finished putting it together and ready to season it waiting on my convection plate from horizon. Few questions so will try post them...
