Ok, I've done a few small 4ish pound 'corned beef' briskets. I just didn't use the flavoring that came with them, instead used Jeff's rub. All were great!
I decided to do a whole brisket. It sucked!
Same recipe & method.

All the smaller ones I've done have a let's say beef...
Selling my masterbuilt XL propane smoker. Bought new in December. Changed the door thermo to a Lowes one (a little better). Used a dozen or so times, works great.
Local pickup. $150.
I've searched around, and find that the amnps doesn't do well with propane smokers, but mostly all the posts pertaining to smaller units.
The question.
Anybody using these two together during hot smoking with success?
Maybe, the 40" version has enough space it won't run out of o2? And stay...
I've looked all over and can't find a answer.
Can you smoke on "Red air days"
We've had real bad air in Utah the last few days, I have a butt to smoke!
I know we can't use wood burning stoves/ heaters, but a smoker....?

Just figured I'd post my first experience. To give back a bit from what i learned here.
This is my first ever using propane and any smoker!
After figuring out how sensitive the regulator is in this unit (can only turn tank on 1/3 turn) or the flame dies out.
Anyways, got the 7in1 all...

I'm a newbie to smoking. I bought a Masterbuilt 7in1. I like the idea of it, due to my charcol grill has seen it's last days.
I hope this is a ok smoker, all the reviews seem good.
Anyways. All of my Google searches of smoking/ recipes always bring up this Forum! I've read alot here...
