Hi,
I had made ground meat beef jerky several times with an electric dehydrator.
I always use Instacure #1 and set the temp to 160°F for several hours until done.
I like a lot flavor and consistency.
So my jerky is cooked and dehydrated.
Is there a better temperatures set and times to make...
This Saturday was my first BBQ!!!
The Friday I seasoned the Masterbuilt XL LPG smoker. It leaked a lot of smoke by the door and the adjustment temp. in the 225-250°F range was less than 1/2 inch in the temp. control knob (so, some mods in the future :) ).
Saturday, I prepared 4 Baby Back Rib...
This is my third batch of beef jerky, so I´m still experimenting.
The first batch was ok.
The second one, was like leather.
This batch, 5# 95/5, with LEM natural seasoning, is more "chewable".
The dehydrator is a Nesco FD-80 with 6 trays.
Hi,
I´m AJ, and I´m only "smoked" beef jerky in a square nesco.
After a lot of thread reading, I fell in love with the Masterbuilt XL, so I hope a will can enjoy some BBQ Ribs, not to far in the future!
Regards!
