Is my stem not long enough?
I know that is what she said, but seriously I have a telltrue thermo with a 3" stem and 1 1/2" of it protrudes inside my offset smoker. Now, I ask this because it will read 40 deg. lower than if I were to use my remote in a potatoe in the same area. And yes I callibrated them both and all is...- spm

day before butt
Hey all, Im smoking a butt on Saturday for a birthday party on Sunday, my question is how to reheat it? Should I pull it Sat. after it's done or wait til Sun. after I reheat it? How long and at what temps. work best? Thanks, SPM -
smoker from scratch
Hey all, great forum. I'm building a horizontal smoker with a side fire box. The dimmensions will be 18"x22" dia. for the fire box and 36"x22" dia. for the cooking chamber. I have read the mods for the char griller and plan to incorporate them on here. One quetion I have is do I still need...- spm
