Being from Iowa and all, one thing I have plenty of access too is corn cobs! Just curious how many people here smoke with cobs. What are you outcomes or preferences with these. My buddy uses cobs quite abit and says the put off a sweet flavor and smoke well.

I see alot of people write about resting their meat. Wrapping in foil/towels and setting in the microwave/cooler. Can anyone explain why this is to be done. I cant wait to get this smoking process to the point where I at least feel comfortable. Thank Bob
