I moved in Feburary and dropped and broke on of the grates on my New Braunfels Hondo Smoker. What is everyone using when they replace their old grates? Had three down to 2 of going to the extruded wire mesh like they use for trailer floors any ideas or suggestions for a better option

Well I tried a butt this morning! It only took 4 hours for my meat thermometer to say it was 160 but the grill thermometer stayed around 225-250 so I think it must be wrong and was closer to 350 instead. Butt turned out good, so alls well that ends well
Alright guys Friday I bought my first smoker. It is a New Braunfels Hondo model. I burned a whole bag of coal in it today to burn it out and cooked some boneless skinless chicken breast and some corn on the cob did great as a grill. Now here is my question tomorrow I am going to attempt to smoke...
Bought the New Braunsfele Hondo smoker. Got it home and assembled going to spray insides down with cooking spray in the morning and build a fire in it to burn it out. Anybody have this smoker have any suggestions to a newbie
