    Vintage Hobart Slicer Restoration

Ah yes, I remember now! On mine the bolt you're describing was seized in the deflector so that each time you opened it you actually threaded the bolt in and out of the body. I had to cut it off just below the deflector and then press it out of the deflector itself. Thanks for the memory jog!

    Vintage Hobart Slicer Restoration

The pivot bolt does not go all the way through into the base. I don't really remember but based on my having said that I pressed it out after cutting the head off I'd assume that it did not have threads and was pressed in originally, something not evident until it was so far apart. I suspect...

I can't tell looking at it and honestly don't remember. When I get home from work tonight I'll remove the bolt I used and see if that helps me answer your question.

The weld around the arm is due to it having been too long originally. I had to cut a section out and weld it back together. Trial and error!

    Vintage Hobart Slicer Restoration

I've had a couple requests for drawings of the adjustment arm I made. I'm sorry but I don't. I've taken it off and taken a few more pictures of it, one with a ruler next to it. I hope this helps.

New full cooking trailer build with a 500 gal tank

Holy cow! That tank in the back ground looks like a small submarine! Can we assume it will occupy some real estate on this large trailer?

I don't work there anymore. 8/30/13 was my last day. You can go there and ask about them at the front desk and I'm sure they will help you. 1100 N. 7th Street.

Slow motion reverse flow 300 gal.

Honestly I was talking about the RF plate itself. I believe that by doing it this way and lowering it as Dave said, you will not need the additional heat shield. Build a dam across the front so that you create a volume that can be filled with water as an option. Take a quick look back at my...

Slow motion reverse flow 300 gal.

What if you tapered it to a low spot center front, similar to the way mine is tapered to a low spot to the extreme left and centered front to back. My thinking being that as the heat raises and travels the path of least resistance, it would in effect solve both issues by distributing heat more...

Well, The fat lady is belting one out!  I've accepted an employment offer in White Bluff, TN. This Friday is my last day working in West Memphis! I have no idea how many drum have found new homes as a result of this thread, but it's a bunch. Way more than I ever anticipated. I'm on my way to...

No more Drums as of 8/30/13

Sorry guys, I have no way to ship these drums. And because there is still a little left over printing ink in them, I suspect trying to ship would fall under some federal regulation that I'm not prepared to deal with.
