Thanks Gary.
Finially got it back home. All painted and ready to smoke. I got some pork ribs, loin, and Butt for Thursday. Also a whole chicken. Can't wait.
Sorry those pictures were not in order but I got a lot done today. I went in to work on my day off to get some things done to the smoker. I got support added to the inside door on the firebox. I installed the lower rack and sides. I changed how my plans on the drain and ran it out the back to...
I also need to seal around the door and maybe up size the door on the fire box to 1/4 in plate. Also need a damper on the chimney. I want to smoke some meat for the employees next week for a Christmas party. It seemed to keep nice heat from side to side. I'll post some pics of the smoked food...
Still need to install so racks for shelving bUT I wanted to do a test run to see what I had for leaks or changes. I loaded some charcoal first because my wood was a little wet.
Finally got back on the project. This was all done to this point at a friends house and I had to also work around his schedule. I decided to take everything to work and finish it off. I wanted to update everyone and thank you all for the help so far.

Got the side box made for the chimney. My concern is that I may need to raise the whole some coming out of the CC. The top is level with the bottom of the second cooking rack. I am thinking the food on the top rack may get hotter than the food on the lower rack. What are your thoughts? I have a...
Finally got back on my build. I took to o much time off it but I'm really close. I got the door hinges made and the door attached. Also got some vents on the top of the door to help with the draft into the CC.
Picked up a set of used wheels for the smoker. Two swivel and two are stationary. ,The wheels hold air and are about 6 inches. I think they will go trough my yard pretty good. I will have a handle on the front that can also be hooked up to the tractor. Also brought home 8 pieces of 2x2x24 square...
My neighbor took in a beef and he did not like how much fat was on the beef short ribs so he gave them to me to see if I would like to smoke them. 15lbs. I did some beef ribs before but I don't think they were short ribs. I did some reading on them in the beef section and will try them once I...
