    One hour more - Turned out good. A couple pieces were a little crispy - so I ate 'em. :) Only problem was that I forgot if the sticker on 2 racks meant teriyaki or hot ... wasn't hard to figure out. Will vacuum pack and send it off to SC Thanks for the help everybody!

    Replacement for Oster Jerky Seasoning?

    Did a quick search and couldn't find much of list of ingredients - spices - very helpful. ;)  Anything on your package? ​Search for "Recipe that duplicates Nesco's (American Harvest's) 1 pound jerky spice kit" at the top of the forum page. Found an old post (2012) in the Drying/Dehydrating...

    After 6 hours in an old DAK dehydrator at 145 degrees, I had to leave. It wasn't done yet so I put it in the refrigerator - racks and all. Has anybody "restarted" making jerky like this? Was thinking maybe a couple more hours. It seems to be OK logically but I'm shipping it to my son and...

    zdenise here  - currently in central California but growing up a NAVY brat, have enjoyed living in many places. A touch rebellious ;)  Don't mind getting my hands dirty in the garden, have never been able to "follow" a recipe exactly and like to think outside the box when repurposing things...
