Newbie who thought he could build a smoker.
This is a follow up from a previous post about building a gravity fed smoker. I have made the following modifications: Increased 3 1/2" exhaust to fully open. Increased air inlet size from 1" pipe to 1 3/4" square tubing. Increased pit inlet size from 5" x 3" to 7" x 7" x 5" (see photo)...- rad1dawg

Help for a newbie who thought he could build a smoker.
I have built a gravity fed charcoal smoker ( now named Monstrosity ) from a vertical stick burner. I have been working on it off and on for a couple of months now. I am at the point of trial burns and have got a problem, maybe several. I am using the Lava Lock ATC and super fan. I can get to 225...- rad1dawg
