Throwing a brisket on tomorrow and thinking of trying a new rub. I have a batch of Jeff's TX Style Rub (not rib rub). Has anyone tried this on a brisket? Thoughts? I haven't smoked one in a month so don't want to use it if it's overhyped.
Hello all! Been reading on here for quite a while so thought about time I join and participate. I live in Ft. Worth, TX and have been smoking as a hobby for family and friends for about 10yrs. Have learned a lot from this forum as well as trial and error.

New to the forum but been smoking for a while and come here to read quite a bit. Just got a 22.5" Weber Smokey Mountain and am doing a 8lb Butt and 13.5 whole brisket...trim my briskets quite a bit so probably 11lbs or so when I put it on. I've smoked both meats separately but never together...
