Red's Santa Maria Build - A Custom Grill for JIMSMOKES!

Ah 1/2 inch rod will be very nice! I forget if I have 1/2” or 3/8” stainless rod for the new to be built grates….I’ll be interested in seeing how Jim’s come together as you fab them! My v-grate is 1/2 inch spacing. That’s close enough hot dogs don’t fall to their fiery death…..LOL

Red's Santa Maria Build - A Custom Grill for JIMSMOKES!

Very very nice Red! The shelf support is sweet creating that overhang vibe! Just sharing the Xfire ratchet…. Once I paint it I will use smaller washers two on the inside and one on the outside with a metal locking nut so the tension is right and it doesn’t spin free…..pretty simple. These...

    Friday Night Baby Backs!

Thanks Jim! A glaze is a nice middle ground between sauce and dry rub…. It also looks yummy on a plate! Thanks Brian and yes the heavy cream vs milk, and preheat in a bowl before adding is a game changer…..a buddy of mine is not happy with me for sharing this cause it’s all his kids want to...

https://www.independentmeat.com/salmoncreekfarms?lightbox=dataItem-jroawy1k1 You actually may be able to order them in. They are a duroc boar and white-line sow cross. They have NO additives when processed so just the rack in the pack…. They have ruined us for the national packed stuff…...

Thanks dw! Sugar and paprika ratio is the same. Forgot but I 1/2 the black pepper and red pepper then double the other spices….. Much appreciated David! Thanks norm! They often sell out but they are worth the waiting for them. They are spendy by lb but not per rack….but the quality!

    Friday Night Baby Backs!

The boy has been craving some ribs so tonight it was baby backs!! We just LOVE the supplier of these ribs….they are smaller, have no loin meat, and have the membrane removed. I also like to section the ribs to 4 bone sections…..I flipped one over to show that the san membrane…. I put a...

It did it again… smoker failed mid session. Throw in oven or throw in trash? (Internal 110°)

I’ll just share my opinion….. Your smoker is 5 years old meaning the electronics (computer, fan motor, auger motor, hot rod, and temp probe) have all beeen subjected to outside weather and humidity. That means ALL the wire have some measure of internal corrosion, ie because they are just pure...
