    The USI ones seem a bit better than Kiddie and First Alert. I just checked all of ours. The youngest one is 9 years old, one of the CO detectors is 19 yo. I think its time to upgrade them all. two are hardwired with back up, the CO are just battery.

    I have had gout for a couple decades. It was very painful at first, but meds fixed it. For me its been very manageable with minimal flair ups. I take Allopurinol daily to keep it away. I took colchicine at first when it flared up, but I havent taken that for a very long time.
