I'll be darned. I checked both probes in boiling water and they both read 212. Imagine that. That thing is accurate. Guess I'll have to recalibrate my cooker. Thanks for the advice.
I just got a Maverick Wireless ET 732 thermometer for my birthday. The probe inside the smoker registers about 50 degrees higher than the digital readout set on my Masterbuilt electric smoker. Which do I believe? Confusing-----
Thanks guys, I'm in Rochester and you're right, it was cold on Thanksgiving. I've read several thread about the wind sucking the hot air out of the vent faster than the unit can produce heat. I saw the makeshift box a guy made to put over the vent. Looks like a reasonable idea. I'll have to try...
Just got rid of one pickup load to be picked up next weekend. You guys sure work fast--------. Only about 7-8 more to go. A guy can only use so much himself.
