Laurel, if you go to Hawaii to see the ocean, I know where there is one closer to you that may say some travel fare.

    Fired again

Ken always has the best recipes. If I use any more of them, I'm gonna have to start paying him a royalty.

    Remote thermometers

I don't really have any complaints about mine, but I will admit they are not built very heavy. I question if it would actually go through the window, or if it would just break the unit and bounce off?

    Rolling advertisement.

Hey Ken, I bought some el Cheapos from Gordon Food Service for around $20. They are not fancy, just some wire racks to hold the Sterno, and full size disposable aluminum pans for water w/ Half pans for the food. I only use them every now and then for picnics, but the racks nest in each other...

    Remote thermometers

Now that I think about it, I bought them a year apart. Maybe they changed the frequency sometime between production runs?

    Panda, Look it up

One day a Panda dressed in a suede coat walked into a chinese restaurant and ordered some food. He had some difficulty eating his meal, as his paws were large and he couldn't hold the chopsticks. Eventually he finished, and as the waiter approached, he pulled out a huge silver revolver, blew...

    Remote thermometers

I got two of the same unit from Wal Mart. I get seperate readings on both. I use one for grate temp, one for meat. I guess they have a limited number of freqs they use. Maybe just bad luck to get the same. I'd call WalMart and ask for an exchange.

    vacuum after rub?

I sometimes use one with marinades. It seems to help liquids penetrate the meat. As for dry rub, I don't see how it would help. The only thing I think it would change is to scrape the rub off as you pull it out of the bag. I wouldn't waste your time. Anyway, the rub will flavor the meat as it cooks.
