    looking to buy a new wireless therm system.

    Kris, the Stoker doesn't need internet access, just a new router. My 5 year old Linksys would never see the stoker, a newer Cisco-Linksys  my son had laying around does. Then download the "Stoker Log" to your laptop or get the PitPal app for your phone.  Prost!

    Bringing this thread up to date. I have the new WiFi Stoker, have mounts over my offset and want to use food probes with charcoal grill a few feet away. I have ordered a 10' headphone extension and splitter from Amazon for 1/2 the price of Rock's. As all the inputs are parallel this should work...

    I folded up a small fire box from some scrap perforated SS Saturday and smoked my first batch of cheese!  Found 1/2 lb blocks of Colby Jack and Pepper Jack on sale for a buck fifty.     I agree with the crock pot idea. And I always have small bottles of Apple juice in the pantry I can add if my P/P seems to dry. Prost! Tha Beerman!

    Back to intro. I have refurbished my old offset smoker with a Stoker from Rock's. For the first time ever I can hold the heat down to 230! Brined and smoked 2 15lb birds Thursday, another on Saturday.  We all luv Jef'fs Rib Rub!
