Let's play name that cut (Finger Steaks)

Either way, I admire you folks down south. Meat prices are so cheap - I would be paying $20 just for that one blister pack.

I agree, they look like thin blade steaks.

    Father’s Day Baby Back Ribs.

Nice. I did up my back ribs yesterday and made the mistake of doing them 3-2-1. Meat was falling off the bone. Oh well, live and learn.

Suggestions for Smoking Pork Sirloin Steaks

Hello all, I read a number of posts here about pork sirloin - nearly all were roasts. I know it isn't the fattiest pork to do up, but I'm looking to minimize dryness. The steaks are about 1" thick and I was thinking of doing a smoke-wrap-smoke with them or something similar. Does anyone have...

    Pellets - Canada

If you have a Peavey Mart nearby they have the large bags of Louisiana pellets of all flavours. I paid $40 for one. Also, Princess Auto is selling a Camp Chef pellet grille as a special offer. I saw boxes of pellets stacked beside the display model as one guy was swiping one and saying 'great...

    Super noob question

Yes, this is what I'm referencing. So let's say, hypothetically, that you didn't want much wood flavor profile added to your cook. Would you change out your Hickory, Apple, et al pellets with something that is more neutral (e.g. "just wood")? Or, does it really matter? Thanks, Mark

    Super noob question

Thank you all for your responses. I guess my ignorance is showing as I have not yet used one. I understand that each type of BBQ imparts its own flavour profile (coal, wood, electric etc.); so when you folks do normal cooking on your units, do you simply use whatever pellets you have loaded in...

    Super noob question

Hi folks, I'm trying to convince my wife to let me purchase a pellet smoker. So far I have schmoozed her with some of the things a smoker can do, but she has to be confident that we can also cook normal steaks and burgers (non-smoked) on it as well. Which brings me to my question: Does one...
