    I really don't have a favorite, I just reach in the wood bin and grab what ever is closest, so longs I can get a good smoke comming around the food, I'm happy.

    I have acres of most all kinds of wood so swapping wouldn't help me, but if you want any wood, Ash, Red Oak, Black birch, Cherry, Locast, Maple, i would send you some in 10 lb boxes if you pay the postage, my wife is going to find out what the flat postage rate is.

    Woods For Smoking

    soft maple was used to make Charcoal in the 1800s and just about wiped it out in our area, now it has come back, but not a plentiful as sugar or hard maple which i like better for smoking.
