    That was my concern but iv been on you tube and there are several people using that method with good results. You here so often about not using treated or staining your timber smoker just got me thinking. Thanks any way. PS a hob is what us over the pond call a hot plait as you thought.

    I am currently sitting in hospital next to my partner as she is in laber with my second child and instead of dreaming about the future of this new addition to the family im thinking would the handles melt if a was smoking with a portable electric hob.
