I have a smoking problem I am definately addicted

There is something a bit humorous about being in the field of Respiratory Therapy and sitting on the back porch tending a smoker and enhaling all the goodness for hours..... That begs the serious question - Is that bad for us? Because I can tell you after a good 5 or 6 hour rib smoke, my...

    Gosm ???

Have had very minimal success cold smoking with my GOSM. What I ended up doing was putting a piece of black pipe with a union and I hook up my Big Kuhuna to it (has male side of union) when cold smoking or when I want extra supplimantal smoke. Porkypas.com is where I got it and it works great...

Acu-Rite Wireless Digital Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer $12.99 On WOOT

Returned mine to Wally World after one cook. POS in my opinion. Either I got a bad one, or they are just junk. I prefer my maverick's and oregon scientific's.

Char-Griller Smokin Pro with firebox- Mods

I was dead on without food and once i put it in... off by 25 degrees left to right. Funny thing is, with my reverse flow setup, it is the non-SFB side that is hoter. I am going to drill some oval shaped holes between mid point and right SFB side, place a sliding tuning plate and adjust...

Char-Griller Smokin Pro with firebox- Mods

Yep, saw that. I only did mine for balance, not neccessary by any means. I tend to go overboard!!

Warthog, Looking sweet! One more recommendation - Ditch that worthless Char-Griller mid-thermometer. I put in this: Ted

Char-Griller Smokin Pro with firebox- Mods

Sorry for the late post of Pron! Here are some baby backs on their final hour, along with Dutch's Wicked Beans: and my (3) new River Country thermo's (1-2" and 2-3"). Reverse flow does a great job of keeping the right and left pretty well in balance: Very please with the Char-Griller...

    Thin Blue Smoke----Kahuna ?

I poke down through the middle of the Kahuna about once a half hour to keep it rolling nicely. THe last batch of Pork Tenderloins (brined over night, then air dryed with fan) had a smoke ring that went in over 1/4 " all the way around and the product tasted fantastic. Used hickory chunks in...

    Thin Blue Smoke----Kahuna ?

One design flaw (at least with my Kahuna) is that after the first or second use, the air adjustment is non-functional. It pretty much seizes up due to heat at the bottom and/or creasote finding its way to the valve, or ?? Mine is all the way open all the time. i think moving that elsewhere in...

    Big Green Egg (accessory help)

Just like a woman needs to accessorize with a purchase of a new dress.. It is customary for us men to do the same with our Implements of Fire !! So I am 99% convinced on purchasing a large Big Green Egg. Done a great deal of research on the ceramic world and I feel drawn to getting one. I am...

    Thin Blue Smoke----Kahuna ?

I think there is more creosote with pellets. I just get done smoking and drop in a bucket of water and let it soak for days.. Works good.

    Thin Blue Smoke----Kahuna ?

I use a Big Kuhuna as supplimental on my GOSM, or with my gas grill. Especially for LONG smokes like Pork Butt. I don't get heavy white smoke unless i take the lid off the unit. I have valve all the way and to be honest, not much choice otherwise as it has seized open. I was using chips, but...
