Craig here is a map of the park marked with the red star, it is not marked very well only by a small signs states boat ramp, Black Creek empties right here. There is a picnic table and bench there, it is maintained by the county, no charge other than meeting the Florida license requirements.
Thanks! Lot of folks use the little known county park on Pitts just down for the new camp ground (Live Oak Landing) my neighbor snagged a speck behind the house here a while back.
Pork butt "Wicked Baked Beans" (Thanks Dutch) and a Chuckie!
Took the butt to 200 the chuckie went along for the ride, put the beans for two and a half hours (165) kept the smoke at 235 entire smoke.
Chuckie did not escape being snacked on used a dry rub of Montreal Steak Seasoning...
Had a friend come over and weld all the seams where the fire box bolts together, on the ends there was a gap pretty small but it allowed unrestricted air flow, once that was done maintaining temps was not a problem. I paid him with a couple of butts for the welding. Also made a charcoal basket...
Thanks! That is a BTLE smoker made some mods to the fire box added a steel nipple for probe pass through, sealing the fire box was the key to making this smoker hold consitant temps. I've doen about thirty or so smokes on it to date with no problems.
