Yes, With the factory wheels the axels are only 6 inches long.
The 1/2 inch rod I used for the axel is available at any big box store.
The rod is 3 ft long so obviously the axel does not need to be that long.
Using a hack saw, I trimmed the excess after fabricating the axel.

I used a 1/2inch x3 ft rod purchased at a big box store, for the axel.
Reuse the pin and washer on the inside of the wheel. Purchase 3 0r 4 fender washers to take up the slack
on the outside of the wheel .
Drill a 1/8th hole in one end about 1/2 inch from the end.
drill another 1/8th inch...

I have looked at his prices, which are good.
However I am retired on a fixed income.
I can not afford to make such a large purchase.
Also no not have the space to store that many bags of pellets.
To me 6 or 8 bags at $100.00 is a large purchase.
