Just got back from Albertsons. Babybacks $1.99 per pound. In a display case in plastic sleeves open on one end and many were partially frozen and thawing. Not the best lookin ribs to begin with and definitely not a good deal considering the half thawed state.
I passed. Rather pay a bit more and...

First off - Thank You for assisting me to learn and earn my place among you. This wasn't on my radar screen but I thank Ron50 for the nomination and all who suppported it.
I will do my best to inform, instruct and inspire all those who come here to learn and participate.
Glad to see you and the Mrs. are taking the judging class together.
My class is two weeks from tomorrow evening. I'll let you know how tough the course and the final exam are.
Beautiful dog. Never met Wylie, only pics from the SMF gathering. I'm certain Maggie Q will bring you as much happiness as Wylie. Certainly a mascot quality pooch.
I have a GOSM propane. Just my personal choice. Do some research and select something that meets your requirements for size, price, fuel, etc. Get at least one good dual temp thermometer and take the time to learn what your unit can do.

Straight up pork sausage wrapped in thick bacon. In fact it was some off brand I found for a 1.67 and the spices in in were fantastic. Possibly the best tasting fatty I have done.
Today's smoke was a rack and a half of babybacks and a fatty. All turned out great and there is Q-view to show them off.
A rather unique smoke for me. First time I actually had to turn the gas up. First smoke that started with outdoor temps under 80 degrees and then ended with outdoor temps...
