Thanks guys . I really appreciate you looking . My PB is the 700FB. I truly appreciate having a rig like this that I can enjoy using and keep smiles on the people eating .
You've mentioned pellet smoker a couple times and 400$ budget. That's what i paid for my Pit Boss 700. I'm nowhere near an expert on any of this like a lot of people on this forum truly are, but i can tell you I'm very happy with it and its performance. Just today i also got an AMAZEN 12" tube...
I did a couple times in first 2 hours then changed it again and went to bed . Got up and rubbed it in simple garlic pepper and let it warm up to ambient temp before starting my smoke on it . I need to say that other then salt content , it came out really good . Juicy and tender . It was by no...
I soaked it overnight , approx 12 total hours before I started . I'm not unhappy with results , I just feel it was still to salty for a main course meat type thing for me .
Well I did it ... soaked it overnight in water to try to draw some salt out but didn't really work out in that senses . The cook itself went very good and meat itself performed solid . I would just say that a corned beef for me is just still to salty smoked ... keep in mind I Love corn beef in...
Thank you 73. I've never done one before .. My only question is , is there a reason you finished it with a steam vs wrap or even no wrap to finish temp ? I only ask because I honestly don't know .
Hello , I'm going to smoke a corned beef brisket tomorrow . Other then time and temp I have no real plan . Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this ? I'm talking about a store bought corn beef like you find for St. Patty day . I'll be doing this on my Pit Boss Pellet smoker . Thanks...
The tube is my next step in this set -up for sure . My initial thoughts on my pellet is that it does a fantastic job helping me make very good food I'm proud to serve and more importantly eat . That being said , I believe with learning the rig and temp settings , that a supplemental smoke along...
Mike , I kept it on smoke setting for first 2 hours on P-3 setting , then went to 220 for another hour then wrapped them for an hour more . Then unwrapped em again for like half hour because I could tell they were done . I will say my TP 20 was reading hire then the model LED and the rotary...
Jeff , I have the Pit Boss 700 series . I'm very impressed with it honestly but only have a couple smokes on it so far due to work schedule but I can tell we are gonna get along just fine this summer .
Between planting flowers and all other sorts of stuff , managed to pull off a nice first rib attempt on pellet smoker . Ribs on right are momma diet friendly.... ended up in a a weird method today . It was like 3, 1, 1. Came out great . Pull off bone , good smoke on back end and juicy tender ...
Your brisket looks amazing. If you don't mind me asking , What temp and how long did that take on your PB700? I'm looking to try one in next couple weeks or so. Thanks !
Thank you guys . I really enjoyed today and being patient to get this done . My TP 20 really helped me out as I patiently diciferred readings from the cooker . I'm gonna play around with placement of my cooker probe . My TP was reading a bit higher then the therm on the barrel and Read out on...
i posted this originally in pellet smoker page but wanted to share good results with my first ever cook on a pellet smoker . It really did come out great . Used a local rub , no injection or brine . Family loved it . Took about 4 hours with some messing around learning my new set-up . Thanks for...
