I have to agree. Did my first last Saturday and just finished the leftovers last night.
Will be doing 2 the next time for sure. Smoking takes so much time that you might as well fill up the smoker and go big.

So after a successful first pork butt last weekend I'm thinking of trying my first brisket in the next few days. Couple of questions though. How is Jeffs rub on beef? It's been great on my pork so far just wondering how it works on a brisket. Also, what are your recommendations for a mop/spritz...
I think it's made from various South American Hardwoods. I tried one bag and wasn't impressed. It was like the 4th of July trying to get it going in the chimney starter. Try and find some Royal Oak Lump (the made in USA variety). I've been happy as a clam with it.

Welcome to the SMF. I don't have a CGSP but I the think the idea is you can actually use the SFB as a small grill for cooking burgers, steaks etc. over high heat. Not sure if anyone actually uses it for this though. Hope this helped.

Just curious if anyone has or knows of anyone thats used this for smoking. Was thinking about trying some small scraps left over from a flooring project. This is raw/pre-finished wood. Thanks.
