Thanks pink. It is a Brinkmann Stillwater. I'm pretty happy with it after doing the standard offset mods. 1/4 inch steel fully welded. Reallly holds the heat!
Dave
Thanks all. Things are cruising right along. Both are stalled in the 160's. I think I might try to do the whole cook with out foiling just for something different. I'll post up an update here in a bit. off to mow the yard now.
Welcome back Steve. Good luck on your smoke tomorrow. Gonna be great weather for it. You're gonna have to get up pretty early to cook that 9 pounder.

Well, haven't been posting up much Q-view lately but these are looking pretty good so I thought I'd share. Had a hankering for some pulled pork so I figured I'd just throw 2 on. We like leftovers . These are 2 6 lb butts rubbed down with a modified Jeffs Rub I've been working on. Using Hickory...
LOL, I got ya now Bubba. Little slow on the take here I guess. I was wondering what the heck you meant in your first post. LMAO!! Just put it together yesterday. Can't wait to break it in. See, it really did happen
Thanks Joe, it looks like the only thing I really need is a thermo. Do you like the flower pot better than using water? Did you notice a difference in how the wsm cooks?
Dave
Nice score!! I wish costco carried lump out here. I did stock up on RO lump the other day though. 150lbs sitting in the shop. Don't wanna run out over the winter

Let the addiction continue . Picked up a WSM today. Got a pretty good deal on it so home it came. I was able to cook on one at a smoking class last weekend and was pretty impressed. I've been wanting something portable (my offset weighs 350lbs) and also something to cook on over the winter...
I've had good luck reheating frozen pulled pork out of the bag in a sauce pan over very low heat. Add some apple cider and bourbon and again, simmer over a very low heat. I think it tasted better after a few weeks in the freezer that it did initially. Like erain said, it doesn't last very long...
